Our 2024/25 Annual Report

We’re proud to share our 2024/25 Annual Report, which brings together the insights, evidence, and impact of the work we’ve done this year to keep children safe.

Against a backdrop of cultural, political, and technological challenges in the UK – with child sexual abuse frequently in the headlines and at the centre of public debate – our work has never felt more urgent.

“This year, we’ve built on our vital mission to prevent child sexual abuse before it happens, reaching more people through our services. As we conclude our 2020–25 strategy, we are proud of the significant progress we’ve made in strengthening our strategic pillars of reach, research and advocacy, laying firm foundations for the future.”

We've continued to reach the people who need us

This year, we worked directly with 16,046 people across our services – an increase compared to last year’s 15,450. That includes:

  • 373 men arrested for online sexual offences, who we worked with to help prevent future offending.
  • 325 family members affected by the arrest of a loved one, and a further 1,019 active users of our Family and Friends Forum.

More than 1.8 million people visited our websites to access advice and resources, while our education and training reached thousands of professionals across England, Scotland, and Wales.

Behind every number is a story of prevention, protection, and hope. Each figure represents real people — individuals, families, and communities who found support, guidance, and a path forward when they needed it most.

These achievements are only possible because of the collective effort of our team, our partners, and our supporters. This is what we achieved together in 2024/25.

We've strengthened our research and advocacy

This year, we rounded off five years of significant progress in these areas. Our in-house research team grew, helping us take on new projects such as the evaluation of our Stop It Now helpline under the Prevention Global initiative, and a collaboration with Professor Michael Seto at the University of Ottawa to advance knowledge on intrafamilial abuse prevention.

In advocacy, we made sure evidence influenced action. Our submissions to Ofcom helped shape improved guidance for large search services, while the final Pornography Review reflected our contributions — from helpline data to our deterrence chatbot developed with IWF and Aylo through our Project Intercept.

But our work is far from complete. This year, we’ve identified five new objectives that will drive our 2025-2030 strategy, as we aim to shape how the UK tackles child sexual abuse. Together, they will help us create lasting change – keeping more children safe from harm, before it happens.

If you need support from us

We provide a wide range of services to support people who offend, their loved ones, children, and professionals — all with one aim: to ensure children are safe from sexual harm.

  • Our Stop It Now helpline provides anonymous and confidential support for any adult worried about a child or young person’s sexual behaviour, or about their own thoughts or actions.
  • Our Shore website for young people, offers anonymous advice and information to teenagers worried about their own or a friend’s sexual behaviour.
  • From training to assessments, interventions, and consultancy, discover the breadth of services we provide.

A final thank you

I’m deeply thankful to our exceptional team, dedicated trustees, generous supporters, committed funders, and inspiring partners. Their unwavering support is the driving force behind everything we achieve.
