About You and the role
Discover how your skills and passions align with our mission in this exciting opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Family Practitioner (CYP Programmes) to join our multidisciplinary, supportive, and innovative team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a new early prevention programme supporting families affected by sibling sexual behaviour. This is a fixed-term contract for three years in line with external funding. We are open to secondment opportunities.

Programme development

Over a three-year period, you will hold primary responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of this new national programme. This includes:

  • Leading the development of the programme’s theory of change and intervention framework, grounded in evidence and best practice
  • Designing and overseeing a comprehensive evaluation, ensuring the programme generates robust learning that contributes to national understanding of preventative approaches to sibling sexual behaviour
  • Working directly with families, using a systemic and whole family approach to help them understand and respond to sibling sexual behaviour, and increase safety and stability within the home
  • Collaborating closely with the Research and Evaluation Team to collect, analyse, and report on data
  • Using emerging findings to adapt, refine, and strengthen the programme throughout its lifecycle

You will be supported throughout by the Head of Clinical Services (Children & Young People) and by colleagues from the Research and Evaluation team.

Leadership of existing services

Alongside the new programme, you will provide senior oversight of our Inform Young People’s Programme, a psycho-educative service for young people who have engaged in concerning online sexual behaviour. In this area, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership to the delivery team
  • Lead on further programme development and quality assurance

Contributing to Service Development

As a senior member of the Children and Young People’s Team, your wider contributions will include:

  • Providing line management, supervision, and professional support to staff
  • Delivering family-based assessments and interventions relating to harmful sexual behaviour, to support the work of the professional services team
  • Supporting the strategic development of our clinical and professional services
  • Championing family based, systemic approaches throughout the organisation
