Who is this training for?
This training course is designed for people who are working in the field of child protection and wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of child sexual abuse.
It is an entry level course so less suitable for professionals with significant experience in this area. It will be helpful to those who work directly with survivors and perpetrators of child sexual abuse, where there has been an allegation or conviction. It will also be of use to those whose role includes safeguarding responsibilities.

This training will help delegates gain a better understanding of the context of sexual abuse, the motives of those who sexually offend and how sexual abuse happens.
Through increasing knowledge of the offending process, delegates will be better equipped to understand prevention strategies.
The training will also equip delegates with knowledge of grooming, signs of grooming and warning signs of child sexual abuse.
