Lucy Faithfull Foundation today announced that Deborah Denis has taken the decision to resign as CEO effective July 2026. She leaves after six years in the role, and a collective 15 years with the organisation.
Deborah first joined the Foundation in 2009 and has been a driving force throughout her tenure, championing growth, innovation, and impact across our work in reach, research, and advocacy.
Under her leadership, our annual income grew from £2.4M to £5M, enabling us to support more than 16,500 people each year. She oversaw the launch of new projects and services for young people, the expansion of our Stop It Now helpline, and the development of all our activities to protect children and prevent child sexual abuse.
Deborah also strengthened our research team, increasing our ability to measure impact and share learning across the sector. At the same time, she deepened our advocacy efforts and built strong partnerships that are driving meaningful change in child protection and the prevention of child sexual abuse.
The Board will be recruiting Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s next Chief Executive imminently. We look forward to sharing more about this exciting opportunity in due course.

“The LFF staff team, our Board of Trustees, and the funders and supporters who champion our mission are what make this organisation so strong. That will not change. I will leave the Foundation in excellent hands and continue to champion its vital work from the sidelines.”
