Today MP for Bromsgrove Sajid Javid visited The Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s headquarters in Bromsgrove.

During the visit Mr Javid met with our senior managers and trustees to learn about our work. He was also briefed on the breadth of services offered by The Lucy Faithfull Foundation to help adults and professionals play their part in preventing child sexual abuse.

Before leaving Mr Javid cut a ribbon to formally open The Lucy Faithfull Foundation’s new headquarters.

Mr Javid said:

“It has been a great pleasure to visit the Lucy Faithfull Foundation today, and to hear about the charity’s work, not just here in Bromsgrove but right across the UK.”

And reflecting on Mr Javid’s visit, Elaine McConnell, Chief Executive of The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, said:

“We are delighted that Sajid Javid was able to make time in his incredibly busy diary to visit and find out more about our work to protect children.  The support we have received in the past from parliamentarians and Government has been vital in developing our services and work to prevent the sexual abuse of children. So the Foundation is delighted that Mr Javid has so kindly agreed to visit today and formally open our new headquarters here in Bromsgrove.”
