Events and appeals to help raise money

Be part of the movement to protect children and create a safer future for all.

Every child deserves a safe and happy childhood, free from the threat of sexual abuse. At the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, we are dedicated to making this a reality by working tirelessly to prevent abuse before it happens. But we can’t do it alone. Our fundraising events and appeals provide vital support to ensure that our services remain available to those who need them most. By joining our efforts—whether through attending an event, taking on a challenge, or donating—you become part of the movement to protect children and create a safer future for all.

Stop It Now helpline appeal - celebrating five years of live chat

For over 20 years, our Stop It Now helpline has been a vital lifeline for those working to prevent child sexual abuse. Thanks to donor support, it offers confidential guidance to individuals struggling with troubling thoughts or behaviours, helping them seek help before harm occurs.

The helpline also provides compassionate support to families affected by a loved one’s actions and equips professionals with expert advice in complex and sensitive situations. Every call answered is a step toward protecting children—and it’s only possible because of the generosity of people like you.

To mark five years of our live chat service, we’re asking for your support to help us raise £15,000.

This ever-growing festival of running is now a major event in the Scottish sporting calendar. Starting in Edinburgh, the course heads out through East Lothian offering stunning views and an unforgettable running experience.

The marathon route is one of the fastest in the UK making that elusive personal best a distinct possibility! Edinburgh Marathon joined the world’s elite road races in 2012 by becoming the first marathon in Scotland to be officially recognised by the IAAF, the athletics governing body. The IAAF bronze label puts the race among the top 75 in the world making it a pivotal part of the sporting calendar for runners.

The full weekend of events attracts around 30,000 runners, with thousands more lining the course to support. There are 9 races on offer over two days including the marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10k, 5k and junior races. There really is something for everyone, so why not make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend.

We are excited to announce the return of the Warwick Half Marathon.

Taking in spectacular, scenic views of the Warwickshire countryside, this undulating course takes place on fully closed roads so is suitable for runners of all abilities.

The stunning views, buzzing atmosphere and enthusiastic local support will keep you motivated every step of the way and with the final 2km slightly downhill, you can enjoy a strong finish to this unforgettable half marathon.

With a unique medal, post-event goodies and some local support, The Wigley Group Warwick Half is becoming a major fixture in the local calendar – don’t miss out!

The Leeds Half Marathon is Yorkshire’s biggest and probably loudest event of its kind.

The much-loved run raises hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity every year and often attracts more than 7,500 runners.

But what makes it special is the crowds. Support for runners along the route is always phenomenal, whatever the weather. Every participant will get a boost from the words of encouragement they receive.

Like all our events, the Leeds Half attracts runners of all abilities and ages. With a fantastically vibrant atmosphere guaranteed, this run could be right up your street.

So get yourself to Leeds and let’s see you on the start line.
