The Lucy Faithfull Foundation features in a new book

We’re very proud that our staff at The Lucy Faithfull Foundation have been major contributors to the recently published ‘Sexual Crime and Prevention’ book, which brings together a thought-provoking collection of original contributions to the topic.  

For more than twenty-five years, the Lucy Faithfull Foundation has worked to prevent abuse in the first instance, as well as prevent re-victimisation, and our staff have gained extensive expertise and knowledge in this area. The book begins with an introduction to the theories of sexual crime prevention, written by Stuart Allardyce, national manager of Stop It Now! Scotland, and a further chapter puts the spotlight on our prevention work in the UK, written by Alexandra Bailey, Tom Squire and Lisa Thornhill, some of our practitioners. Following chapters include an exploration of other prevention services and a detailed service-user account. In the final chapter, the editing authors provide a compelling consideration of future directions for prevention work.

Aimed at psychologists, criminologists, social workers, practitioners and researchers, the book is also useful for anyone with an interest in learning about sexual crime prevention. You can find out more, or order your own copy, here.
